Bakery Hill Peated Malt Unveiled in Canberra.

Sunday, August 7th, 2005

It was with great pleasure that I received an e-mail from one of the “Friends of the Distillery” saying that their wine group included Bakery Hill Peated Malt in their annual whisky tasting.

The club included my peated malt in a line up with “seven malts from Scotland - several of which are more or less unavailable in Australia.”

“Your peated malt was rated 2nd overall, and I’m still wondering why a narrow majority prefered the Aberfeldy Provenance 10yo.”

The e-mail went on to say:

“The cask strength is absolutly magnificent, the sort of single malt that is shared with real friends not mere acquaintances”
